"... it being clearly understood that nothing shall be done which may prejudice the civil and religious rights of existing non-Jewish communities in Palestine..."
Now here's this month's Israeli amendment:
... except restrict access to Jerusalem's Haram ash-Sharif by forcing worshipers to pass through metal detectors and surveillance cameras, dodge stun grenades, and inhale tear gas.

Merc, I have included a link to the report that prompted UNESCO's listing of Al Aqsa on the world heritage register. After reading this report it is clear the intentions behind the so called 'security' measures was the last straw in a long line of undermining, obstruction, destruction and plain provocations committed by the Israel Occupation Authority. http://whc.unesco.org/document/127758
My apologies for going off topic, but given the current dual citizenship debacle that seems to be catching a few of our pollies out, how does this affect those pollies who are automatically considered citizens of Israel? Will be an interesting debate if this eventually goes to a referendum.
