Three Reasons for Iraqis to Smile
OK, OK, so you've got a $4 trillion war which has resulted in 300,000 deaths, millions of refugees, rampant corruption, elevated levels of respiratory disease and birth defects, women confined to the home, and ongoing sectarian bombings, but look on the bright sight, editorialises Murdoch's Australian, because now Iraq has: a) "a constitution enshrining democratic principles and the rule of law"; b) "an elected parliament and government"; and c) "double-digit growth... projected for the next few years, provided sectarian violence is kept in check."
