The Plain Truth about the Gaza Ghetto Massacres

As you reflect on Israel's latest Friday massacre in Gaza (3 killed, 600 wounded), recall this demented Zionist's 14-year-old prediction:

"When 2.5 million people live in a closed-off Gaza, it's going to be a human catastrophe. Those people will become even bigger animals than they are today, with the aid of an insane fundamentalist Islam. The pressure at the border will be awful. Its going to be a terrible war. So, if we want to remain alive, we will have to kill and kill and kill. All day, every day." Israeli 'geostrategist' Arnon Sofer, quoted in It's the demography, stupid, Ruthie Blum Leibowitz, jpost.com, 21/5/04)

Of course, the plain truth is that:

a) The "human catastrophe" in Gaza is a wholly Israeli creation, a by-product of Zionist ethnic cleansing in 1948.

b) The "bigger animals" are not the ghettoised and brutalised Palestinians, but their jailers, the Israelis.

c) The "insane fundamentalism" driving those Israeli "animals" is Zionism, Israel's state ideology, which insists on maintaining an exclusively Jewish state in historic Palestine at the expense of its indigenous people.

d) The only way to maintain this state of apartheid is to "kill and kill and kill. All day, every day."

This interview from 2007 with Sofer just digs a bigger hole - well worth a read to get into the mindset of a Zionist:

https://www.jpost.com/Features/I-didnt-suggest-we-kill-Palestinians

"I didn't recommend that we kill Palestinians. I said we would have to kill them." This person is seriously deranged. And he is, according to the article, Head of Research at the IDF's National Defence College. That explains a lot about the "most moral army".

Reading the Sofer interview as an Australian, one is struck by the irony that Australia is one of the countries that most supports Zionism, and yet the vast majority of Australians would strongly reject most of its basic tenets and, in particular, Sofer's rant. We would not see Australia as belonging to one ethnic group (if it is such) to the detriment of all other inhabitants and worry at length about the demographics. We would not consider it appropriate to occupy someone else's land against the will of the inhabitants, we would not countenance an ethnically discriminatory immigration policy (these days). We would not, except in jest, refer to another ethnic group as "animals". We would not consider that a territory was "independent" if we controlled its borders, its seacoast and its air space. Would we refer to another country as "Egypt-the-horrible"? Would we countenance destruction of refugee camps? And all this from someone who claims to be "in the center" of Israeli politics. Why doesn't the ABC interview him? His interview suggests that Israel is a very very sick country in need of a psychiatrist.

This one is a beauty:
"Iran is so weak and vulnerable that it's unbelievable."

Well put as always, G, but how would a shrink go about treating narcissistic personality disorder on a national scale?

Don't you get the feeling that the wheels are beginning to come off the wagon, MERC? I took some satisfaction today from the fact that activists have managed to persuade Starbucks to downgrade ADL's involvement in the anti-racist training of Starbucks staff to that of "consultant"

I hope you're right, G. My next post cites a survey of Australian Jews which suggests an erosion of support for Zionism.

Look forward to it MERC, as always.
