Now here's a newie:
"The latest wave of violence was sparked last October by unsubstantiated rumours that Israel intended to exert control over the Noble Sanctuary precinct of the Old City, revered by Muslims. Containing the Dome of the Rock and Al-Aqsa Mosque, it tops what is known to Jews and Christians as Temple Mount, and is holy to them, too." (Israel's Arab MPs warned of expulsion, Jamie Walker, The Australian, 6/2/16)
So, in addition to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, Christans now want a slice of the Haram ash-Sharif.
As I always say: Only in The Australian...

No doubt the "Christians" referred to in the Australian are not the worlds first Christians; the Palestinian Christians.
Of course they are never referred too let alone asked for their opinion. Where are the "news" stories about the decades long Zionist policy of expropriation and desecration of Palestinian Christian holy places and war crimes against this community?
The so called "Christians" referred too would be more correctly described as the servile Judaeo-Christians or the obsequious Christian-Zionists. These sort of "Christians" know how to respond to every Zionist prompt. Either way the Talmudic Zionists would never allow any Christian to have any part of their holy places.
However as a spin-off of this Zionist agit-prop all Middle Eastern Christians would become smeared by association.
Don't take it seriously, Jamie's grasp of these things is tenuous at best.
The real archaeological (rather than religiously inspired) evidence indicates that the Temple Mount was really a Roman fortress, and quite some distance from Herod's temple.
