Netanyahu's Charmless Offensive: UK 2

Typically, Netanyahu talks - lesser mortals listen:

"[UK PM Theresa] May was due to raise the issue of illegal settlements with Israel's leader on a bid for a 'lasting two-state solution'. But before the formal talks could begin, he lectured Mrs May publicly on the need to stand up to Iranian aggression.

"On the steps of No 10... Mr Netanyahu said 'responsible' countries should follow Donald Trump in imposing fresh sanctions against Iran after it tested a ballistic missile. He took the unusual step of using the so-called 'warm words' in front of the world's media, telling Mrs May: 'We face challenges, that's very clear, from militant Islam and especially from Iran. 'Iran seeks to annihilate Israel, it seeks to conquer the Middle East, it threatens Europe, it threatens the West, it threatens the world. And it offers provocation after provocation. That's why I welcome president Trump's assistance of new sanctions against Iran, I think other nations should follow suit, certainly responsible nations. And I'd like to talk to you about how we can ensure that Iran's aggression does not go unanswered'." (Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu kept waiting on Downing Street doorstep for talks with Theresa May, Arj Singh, Dan Bloom, mirror.co.uk, 6/2/17)

UK Prime Minister tweet:

"The Prime Minister and Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu met at Downing St today. They committed to build on the strong UK-Israel ties in a wide range of areas, including trade and investment, innovation and technology, and defence and security." (6/2/17)

The incredible, shrinking Little Britain...

Slightly off topic. A few days ago I saw somewhere that Israel had accepted Syrian refugees. It may have been a quote on this site of some Zionist trying to put a more human spin on that "shitty little country".

If it wasn't here, I apologise, MERC.

Here's the reality.

Quoting from the article:

Eyal Zisser, a political science professor at Tel Aviv University, said the plans are largely symbolic.

“The minister wants to show empathy and show he’s doing something,” he said. “The main issue here is that 100 is really nothing. It’s to show Israel’s nice face to the world and to address Israeli public opinion.”

How do you know Netanyahu is lying? His lips move!

Iran did not threaten to annihilate Israel as is well known to anyone who reads widely. See an old article by Juan Cole, for instance.

http://www.juancole.com/2007/06/ahmadinejad-i-am-not-anti-semitic.html

It is Israel that threatens Europe with over 200 nuclear weapons and ballistic missiles that can deliver over that range.

The range of the rocket that Iran tested is less than 2000km. So it cannot reach London, Berlin, Rome, Paris, etc.

On the other hand

but that does not warrant a mention in the Western corporate media.

Zionism needs a bogeyman to keep Israelis in line and maintain the interest of Jews who haven't voted with their feet. I'd give a million to know what goes on in Western politicians' minds when they hear this kind of nonsense from Netanyahu. I feel that just one exclamation - OFFS, Benji, put a sock in it! - from just one Western politician would earn him the gratitude of every other Western politician, not to mention the support of world public opinion.

"Great" Britain has become an offshore Holland.

Well, off the record perhaps, but this says what you want MERC:

Incidentally, despite the efforts of the corporate media, I think in the UK and France (and perhaps even in the backblocks of the US) if someone said what you suggested about Netanyahu they would actually win a lot of public support.

Yes, I remember this exchange with the microphones inadvertently left on:
Sarkozy: I cannot bear Netanyahu, he's a liar.
Obama: You're fed up with him, but I have to deal with even more than you.

Don't you just love "Vice Premier" Silvan Shalom's gloss: "Everyone talks about everyone. Sometimes even good friends say things about each other, certainly in such competitive professions. So you have to consider the main things. Is Obama a friend of Israel? Is Sarkozy a friend of Israel? Is their policy a consistent policy of support for Israel? The answer to all these questions is affirmative and, as far as I'm concerned, that is what's important."

Zionists don't really give rat's arse what any individual politician thinks or says about Netanyahu or Israel, just so long as they don't act on it. The Israelis know they can rely on the spinelessness, ignorance and stupidity of Western 'leaders'.
